Dr. Lowing has advanced training and interest in ultrasound imaging. She is skilled in imaging both the heart and the abdomen. Ultrasound is capable of providing different information about your pet’s health that x-rays may not be able to do in some cases. Often times we recommend both imaging types to give us the best information possible about your pets health.
For example: enlarged hearts, heart murmurs, congenital heart disease, intestinal disease, liver and kidney abnormalities, bladder disease, certain types of cancer. Ultrasound can also be helpful for sampling of fluid or tissues within the abdomen. Dr. Lowing accepts referrals for these procedures from other veterinary clinics. She will create a report that can be shared with other veterinarians to assist in the care of your pet.
